Exclu: The BMW Oracle Racing boat layout
Publié par trebormat dans Coupe de l'America, Les tops, voile, tags: 33AC, America's Cup, americascup, BMW Oracle Racing, Coupe de l'AmericaA world exclusive information, the layout for the BMW Oracle Racing boat for the next America’s Cup: It is a trimaran.
I have add new information about this layout in other post: a fake of course but…
This is not really a surprise since the firm of architect at work is none other than Van Peteghem-Lauriot-Prevost. Ultra specializes in the trimarans to success such as Franck Cammas. This plan provides us with some interesting information such as precise measurements:
- 32.005 overall length
- 28.937 long for the central hull
- 27.545 wide
- 14.900 distance between the two beams
It may also noted that the structure of the beams is simple compared to some structure X as Groupama 2. It should also be noted that the central hull is shorter than the two floats.
But it’s fake or not. To be honest, I can’t tell you. When you look at the cartridge document it seems real ?.
What do you think?
It is known that the boat is finished in Anacortes and source sure (Valencia) we know that the boat ferrying is scheduled for August. We can imagine the first sailing in September 2008.
